14 Undeniable Signs That Summer Is Almost Here In Kansas
Summertime is almost here in Kansas. Don’t you just love it?! Aside from the date on the calendar, how can I tell? Well, for starters:
1. Most Kansas universities celebrated graduation last weekend.
Congratulations, Jawhawks, Wildcats, Tigers, Shockers, etc.!
2. The sounds of children playing outside can be heard throughout the day.
3. Due to the Kansas sun rising earlier, you miss getting to see its beautiful hues on the way to work.
4. The campgrounds at Wilson Lake...
5. ...Schlitterbahn...
6. ...and the Pillsbury Crossing waterfall are all full.
7. The KC Royals season is in full force...
8. ...and visions of a Chiefs winning season are dancing through our heads.
9. You have already purchased your tickets for the Symphony In the Flint Hills.
10. We've gotten a sneak peek of Kansas's severe (albeit beautiful) summer weather...
11. ...and unbearable humidity.
12. You may or may not have already scored a "new" desk from a garage sale...
13. ...and caught a fish (or 5) at Milford Lake.
14. Finally, your calendar is already jammed packed with Kansas's numerous summer festivals.
