It was originally built in 1899 and known as the Power Hotel. It was a popular stop between Denver and Kansas City, with businessmen stopping to display their wares while they stayed.

It reopened as the Midland Railroad Hotel, and stuck around until today. They even raised chickens on the third floor during the Great Depression to make ends meet. That's what I call dedication!

I can't imagine staying at a hotel and seeing fires and ghosts hanging around. However, that only attracts more people to this central Kansas hotel.

Would you stay at this remote hotel with a dash of the paranormal?
