This beautiful park almost feels like a fantasy away from the world altogether. This little park is perfect for an outing where you can relax and forget the world around you. Anyone up for a short hike?
On today's adventure, we're headed out to Camp Branch Glade in Stilwell, Kansas. Haven't heard of this place before? We don't blame you, because it's pretty small and secluded.
The park just has one of those feelings about it, like you're in another world or some fantasy land. Like a forest from a storybook out of your childhood, this forest will relax you just the same.
A good spot you won't want to pass up is on the East Trail Loop, where it goes down to a creek and passes this limestone outcrop that is too cool looking to pass up.
Having features like a sinkhole, limestone outcroppings, cactus, and a nice little stream makes it a great hike for those of us who can't hike for very long but still love Kansas's beauty. Just make sure to bring your mud shoes and your high socks!
