Rock City is more than just an area full of rocks, it's also a great place to discover how diverse Kansas' landscape is and how funny geology can be sometimes.
3. Kansas Cosmosphere — Hutchinson
The Cosmosphere is a great place to learn about the sky above with virtual tours, as well as see if rocket science is really that hard after all. Visitors of all ages will enjoy this virtual tour through space.

Even those who don't love the movie can enjoy learning about the theatre production and novel series that also brought the world of Oz to life.

Who doesn't love a good waterfall? Though this one is man-made, we don't love it any less. Plus, the colorful rock around it gives it the perfect backdrop for any season.
6. Konza Prairie — Manhattan
The Konza Prairie is an area that's absolutely gorgeous any time of year or time of day. Just remember to leave nothing behind while you visit.

The marks left behind from years of wagon travel are pretty visible near Dodge City even today. Looking out over the terrain, you can see just where settlers and travelers left marks forever.

9. Wolfpen Falls — Marion
Another beautiful falls area, this time at Bourbon State Fishing Lake. Waterfalls are just one amazing part of our beautiful state.
10. The Baker Wetlands — Lawrence
