This Seemingly Normal House In Kansas Is Actually Home To A Mouthwatering Bakery
Do you know of anything that isn’t what it seems from the outside? Maybe your favorite food truck doesn’t have a great graphic designer, or you prefer barbecue from a tent in front of the local gas station instead of going to a restaurant. If you drove by this home on your way through town, you might not expect that this normal house is actually a bakery and restaurant inside. Come take a look!
Welcome to the Friendship House, a normal looking home in Wamego, Kansas that seems to be just a home until you see the sign and smell what's coming out the doors.
This hometown restaurant serves amazing homemade food and treats you just like family, with that small town Kansas service we know and love. It's become a local favorite for sweet treats and lunch with friends, and we can see why.
Of course, their baking isn't limited to breads and cookies, but expands to pies, sweet rolls, muffins, kolaches, and more. Plus, they make a great bierock as well, and we know you can't only eat one of those.
Though it's a bakery and restaurant, it's also a catering company. They serve the Manhattan area, and cater all sorts of events. You can also phone in an order ahead of time if you want to make sure something specific is there when you arrive.
Next time you drop into town, you can take the yellow brick road to the Friendship House from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
