The Small Town In Kansas That’s Absolute Heaven If You Love Antiquing
Plenty of Kansans are looking for a new piece for their home decor, or that addition to their collection they can’t seem to find. Are you ready for a bargain hunting bonanza? This small town in Kansas is full of antiques, so plan to spend your next day off sifting through treasures if you love antiquing! Let’s take a look.
Abilene is a small town in eastern Kansas, between Salina and Junction City.
You'll find that they're in love with our history, and prefer to share their knowledge of it in any way possible. Their population is under 10,000 but I think they'd like to keep it that way. There's just something so charming about this small town that makes you feel right at home. Maybe it's all the antiques?
1. Broadway Antique Mall - 324 N Broadway St.
First up is Broadyway Antique Mall, open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Here, you'll find a wide array of standard antiques, including furniture, home decor and glassware.
2. Abilene Downtown Antique Mall and Mud Creek Antique Mall - 313 N Buckeye Ave.
After Braodway Antiques, you can't go much further without checking out the largest antique area, the Mud Creek Antique Mall and Abilene Downtown Antiques. Both of these combined mean you're in for a treat if you're looking for the perfect piece to add to your home. However, prepare to spend a long time looking through everything! You wouldn't want to miss it. They're also open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
3. Cedar Street Market - 300 N Cedar St.
Cedar Street Market is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Saturday, but only from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. You'll love how unique each piece is and you'll want to bring all of them home with you by the end of your adventure.
4. Countrypolitan - 317 N Broadway St.
Countrypolitan is the store to try when you're looking for an entire room that fits your country style. Everything from wall pieces to furniture is here, just waiting for you to redecorate your home with. Why not give them a try? They're also open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
