However, our love for food always leads us to travel to new places. These dishes at Kansas restaurants are so easy to crave, and any Kansan goes crazy for them. Carriage Crossing is known for home-style meals cooked in the comfort of an Amish kitchen. However, the baked goods at the front of the restaurant are sometimes all you need. These cinnamon rolls might look a little small in the picture, but they're the size of a plate!

Joe's is a legend when it comes to barbecue, and this little gas station eatery has come far from where it started. Now, it's a struggle to get any ribs here, but it's worth the hassle for sure. After all, you need to try it at least once.

Chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes is a meal my mother made for me, and plenty of other Kansas moms made as well. The Swedish Crown does a great job and is one of my favorite places for this classic Kansas meal.

Meridy's makes one of the best steaks I've ever had, and plenty of other Kansans agree. While their restaurant might not be on the top of every bucket list, you can't deny a good steak when you have one.
