Where can I find a tropical themed restaurant in Kansas?

The Little Grill isn’t the only tropical themed restaurant in Kansas. Another one is Sharon’s Place in Derby, a Hawaiian-inspired eatery that will whisk your taste buds away on an island adventure without ever leaving the Sunflower State. This unique restaurant serves up Hawaiian fare like Kahlua pork and spam in a colorful atmosphere that’s the definition of paradise.

Kansas might be a landlocked state, but that doesn’t mean we can’t bring the tropics to us. One of our favorite tropical places in Kansas is Sugar Shane’s Cafe, another tropical themed restaurant. Located in Augusta, this laid-back joint is complete with thatched roofs, umbrella tables, and fresh fish fish flown in straight from the boat. You’ll feel like you’re on an exotic vacation despite being in the heart of the city!

What are the most beautiful beaches in Kansas?

Many people are surprised to learn there are beautiful beaches in Kansas, but it’s true! One of our favorites is the beach at Wilson State Park in Sylvan Grove. Surrounded by unique rock formations, this white sand paradise on the pristine Wilson Lake is a family favorite - and for good reason. We also love Tuttle Creek Lake - it's also located in Manhattan, so you can refuel at The Little Grill after splashing around all day! This gorgeous lake has a designated swimming area that's perfect for cooling off after hiking the surrounding trails.
