Welcome to the Cathedral of the Plains! This one's a little different than most of the find-and-log types. This one is found when you've messaged the owner of the geocache a specific number, and then it gets added to your collection! It's a great one to start with if you're ever in the area.

At the center of the lower 48 happens to be a little chapel and a couple of markers, but did you know there's also a secret treasure? If you can find this little box, you'll be able to mark your name down on more than the guestbook at the church.

Outside the Hugoton Airport, in the areas where you're allowed to drive, a dirt road will lead you to this treasure. Enjoy the scenery of rural Kansas and maybe you'll even see a plane land!

Some ways north of St Francis, KS, an area called Arikaree Breaks emerges. It's one of Kansas's most beautiful areas, and with a couple of clues, you'll be able to find the box at a great lookout spot.

Known as Mingo, the oldest geocache in the world (with some debate), this geocache is not too hard to find, but is a bit out there. You can even spot it in this photo!

This one's a little tricky. Following the directions, you'll need a bit of tech to help you along. Can you complete this unique geocache though? Wamego sure is beautiful, but you'll be a part of the beauty for this one.

10. GC4113 - Wichita, KS


Though we haven't been telling you many of the locations so you can get it yourself, we wanted to warn you that this one does require a ladder to visit. If you have one tall enough to get here, it's exhilarating to log it yourself! It's definitely one of the hardest Kansas geocache spots on this list.
