Well, the bad news is that the season flies by way too quickly, meaning if you are wanting to get out and enjoy the changing colors, NOW is the time. Not only does the Louisburg Cider Mill have beautiful trees and shrubs, they also have a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and shop filled with all types of apple goodness! (Apple cider and donuts, anyone?)
What once covered 400,000 square miles of the country now accounts for only 10,894 acres... fortunately for us, this beautiful tallgrass prairie is located right in our own backyard (and its fall colors are out-of-this-world).
Tucked away in the Flint Hills is the picturesque Council Grove Lake, which, like Milford Lake, houses a large body of clear water outlined by a variety of trees.

It is hard to decide what we love most about fall at Wilson Lake... is it the surrounding native prairie? The dramatic cliffs and rocky outcrops? Vibrant shrubbery? We will just say that it is all of the above!
