What are some lovely getaway spots in Kansas?

If you ask us, Kansas is one of those states that does not deserve its over-generalized “flyover state” status. If you know where to look and what to do, Kansas can be a beautiful place to get away from it all (and we mean away from it all). Many of Kansas’s larger cities are, in and of themselves, a great start to a potential getaway list. Wichita is home to all sorts of romantic places and attractions, like a quiet couples’ stroll around the Wichita Botanical Gardens. Kansas City is lovely, too, especially if you and your person are big music and barbecue people. Overland Park is beautiful, and its parks are perfect for a low-cost date night. If you prefer places a little more out-of-the-way, you won’t want to miss any of our stunning state parks and recreation areas, all of which are so much more photogenic than most folks ever give Kansas credit for.

What are some fun road trips in Kansas to take?

Fill up the car, hop in, and let’s go! Kansas is a lovely destination for all sorts of awesome road trips. You can read about several of our favorites here, but in summary, boy! There’s plenty to do! For example, there are adventures like the Kansas waterfall trail and a road trip where you can check out some of Kansas’s most beautiful small towns. Also mentioned are fun, spooky outings like our Kansas haunted spots road trip and our ultimate Kansan ghost towns trip, too. There are so many different things you could string together to create your own fun road trips in Kansas, too! The possibilities are only as limited as your imagination. Kansas is a totally beautiful state that, as we said, just doesn’t seem to get enough credit. It’s scenic and filled with history and intrigue, and we have no doubt you can manage to put together plenty of awesome adventures you won’t soon forget.
