The International Forest of Friendship is a monument to aerospace and aviation as a gift to the United States in 1976 for its 200th birthday. The concept behind this park being "world friendship through flight" really brings the whole beauty together.

Plaques on the ground inlaid into the walkway are dedicated to new honorees in the forest's collection. There are over 1,500 honorees currently, all engraved into the park.

There are multiple plaques and trees along Memory Lane, and in the park, you can visit trees from every one of the 50 states and 36 territories and countries where honorees reside. Some of them are even from the family homes of folks you'll recognize by name.

The wide sidewalks make this park pretty wheelchair accessible, and the benches offer resting spots for those regular breaks. Make sure you clean up after yourself if you visit, and take a photo of Amelia for later!
