Welcome to the delicious corner cafe known as Bradley's. Hiding out in Topeka for years, this cafe shouldn't be overlooked by any Kansas traveler.
Inside is some of the best pie to be served in our state, and it's all homemade to boot. The crust, meringue, and filling are all put together with care, and they promise to never use canned filling. Only the best ingredients make up the best pies!
Bradley's also has plenty of flavors to choose from, whether you're ordering ahead or snagging a slice for your meal. They've got everything from classic fruit or chocolate flavors to less often seen options such as sour cream raisin, rhubarb, and boisenberry.
They won't look at you too strangely if you just bought a slice of each pie, either. They know their pie is good, and as soon as you bite into it, you'll know for sure as well.
As good as just eating pie alone sounds, we like to sample some of their wares at the same time. They have amazing breakfast options like you'd find at any great cafe, and it's hard to leave hungry.
If you arrive a little later on, then their lunch menu ranges from chicken fried steak to burgers of all sorts. They also make a good plate of fried chicken, if you're so inclined.
Born and raised Kansan, Clarisa has lived in both tiny towns and cities during her time here in the Sunflower State, mostly in the south central area. Clarisa is a stay-at-home mother of one crazy kid, two cats, and two geckos, and has been writing anything and everything since she's held a pencil, though Kansas and fantasy novels take up most of her time.
