Welcome to Hagaya Ramen, a new restaurant that popped up recently in Emporia that we can't get enough of.
Many people are familiar with dried bricks or cups of ramen from the store, but a surprising amount of us haven't tasted the real, traditional version.
Hagaya Ramen makes amazing Japanese style ramen which is a far different experience than what you'd expect. The broths are rich and flavorful and the toppings make it a perfect meal for any season.
Each bowl of ramen is rich and savory, ranging from clear meaty broths to creamy or spicy versions. Ramen like this go perfectly with the beautiful dishes and atmosphere you don't see in many Kansas restaurants.
The booths and atmosphere are also very cozy, and are a different dining experience than the average diner or sports bar. It's nothing too fancy, but it's definitely warm and more of a personal experience.
Hagaya Ramen is open from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 5 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
