These cinnamon rolls are huge, and it would be hard to eat them all at once if they weren’t so delicious. Come have one for yourself, or take it home for later!

Welcome to Carriage Crossing, a home style restaurant in Yoder that's run by the local Amish community.

As soon as you walk in, you're met with a display case full of pies and cinnamon rolls almost as large as the pies they sit next to.

The whole restaurant feels like you're visiting home for the holidays, with decorations that remind you of grandma's quilts and paintings of rural Kansas.

However, the cinnamon rolls here really are as big as your face, and just as homemade as your mother or grandmother would make.

Each one is iced with sweet, hand mixed icing that covers the buttery, spiced roll completely. They are best fresh, though it's not unusual to get one to go and eat it for breakfast the next morning. They keep well and are perfect for any time of day.

You can even eat them like Kansans do everywhere, next to a bowl of chili. Sweet and savory, together as they should be.

Carriage Crossing is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
