You’ll Feel Right At Home At These 9 Amazing Kansas Restaurants
Are you feeling hungry, but wanting something new? There are plenty of amazing Kansas restaurants all over the state, but some of them feel so much like home we’d move in if we could. Have you been to all of these?
1. Backstreet Bakery - 208 S Main St., Lucas, Kansas
If you're a fan of home cooked food and/or bierocks, you've found a new home away from home. This bakery does more than make cupcakes, they have plenty of changing lunch options that are bound to make you feel right at home.
2. Beaumont Hotel - 11651 SE Main St., Beaumont, Kansas
This hotel and RV park is a great place to grab some grub, especially if you like chicken fried steak. If you don't want to drive, you can always fly a plane in! They are both a great place to eat and a great place to stay for the night.
3. Idle A While - 201 S Vine St., Cherokee, Kansas
Idle-a-While cafe is a small town restaurant that might lack in curb appeal but as soon as you smell what's cooking, you'll follow your nose right in the door. Homemade breads and sometimes off-the-menu specials make this place one of a kind.
4. Ladybird Diner - 721 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, Kansas
Ladybird Diner is somewhere that anyone can feel at home in, from their amazing donut flavors to their cakes and tasty lunches. The staff are extremely friendly, and you won't find any better hospitality in town.
5. Martinelli's Little Italy - 158 S Santa Fe Ave,. Salina, Kansas
Speaking of hospitality, Martinelli's is one of my top recommendations for anyone who loves great service and Italian food made from the heart. There's nothing better than homemade spaghetti and meatballs, in my eyes.
6. Christy's Tasty Queen - 1405 S 55th St., Kansas City, Kansas
If giant pork tenderloins are your thing, then you've come to the right place. Enjoy all the Kansas hospitality while you enjoy our state's favorite giant sandwich.
7. Gella's Diner & Lb. Brewing Co. - 117 East 11th St., Hays, Kansas
The best part about Gella's is the amazing food paired with fresh brews, but close in second is thir friendly service. After a few visits, you're basically family!
8. Beethoven's #9 Restaurant - 2 West Piankishaw, Paola, Kansas
Speaking of family, you won't find anything more friendly than the service at Beethoven's #9. Their Jager schnitzel will always be my favorite menu item, but other German inspired dishes are also available.
9. Commercial St. Diner - 614 Commercial St., Emporia, Kansas
For those of us breakfast fanatics, Commercial St. Diner is truly home. Giant plates stacked high full of breakfast is a dream made reality at this hometown restaurants.
