13 Of The Most Beautiful Places In Kansas Ready For You To Explore
Sometimes we’re lucky enough to pick a scenic drive when we’re headed across state, but other times we have to search for it ourselves. There’s a wonderful list of beautiful places in Kansas to go if you are looking to immerse yourself in our state’s beauty, and you’re looking at it! Of course, these places are only the start to many beautiful locations all over our state. Have you been to all of these yet?

This beautiful lake and state park is great for any outdoor activity you like, but adventuring over the curiously shaped rock formations is by far our favorite.

One beautiful fall near an old bridge and an even older town makes Elk Falls a quiet destination, but one we love nonetheless.

Our beautiful Flint Hills spans plenty of area in Eastern and Central Kansas, and we recommend exploring as much of it as you can. Just pick a road and go!

Arikaree Breaks lives just north of St. Francis, and there are even little markers to help you find your way to the best parts. Just look at that landscape!

In the southwest corner instead, you'll find a beautiful grassland filled with wildflowers and the free breeze of Kansas you'll fall in love with.

If you love to dip your feet and shins into the water, then this crossing is the perfect spot to do so. As long as you're careful where you step, it's a great place to feel the water between your toes.

This miniature castle makes the younger ones feel like queens and kings, but those of us who know the story of the journey that marked this location will feel more like explorers. We'd like to imagine Francisco de Coronado would appreciate what we've done with the place.

Our beautiful Monument Rocks will always be one of our favorite wonders, and we can't recommend it enough. It's just so breathtaking in person!

You might not know that Kansas has a handful of recognized wetlands areas, but this one is no less beautiful than the rest. Keep to the trail or risk sinking in the ground!

We all love a good waterfall, which is why Santa Fe Lake is the perfect place for us. The rushing water is all we need to have a relaxing trip.

Kanopolis State Park is gorgeous, as the first state park should be, but the Horsethief Trail is really the best part. There are caves and plenty of smooth rock to run your hands over during the hike. It's great for any age, as long as you keep an eye on your footing.

This gorgeous state park isn't one of our most popularly mentioned, but the beauty of Kansas scenery and wildflowers can't be beat, especially if you're on horseback.

If you're like me and sometimes need paved places to walk instead of the natural trails we love so much, then this arboretum is perfect. You'll get to see all sorts of trees and flowers without worrying about twisting your ankle during the process.
