The Little Hole-In-The-Wall Restaurant That Serves The Best Pizza In Iowa
Don’t feel like cooking tonight? How about a cheesy, delicious pizza? The best pizza in Iowa is found in the little town of Adair, and it’s well worth the drive. Take a look!
You'll find Zipp's Pizzeria at 301 Audubon Street in Adair.
The owner Jim Zimmerline (whose nickname is Zipp), started cooking when he was four years old and quickly developed a passion for pizza. He opened this little spot in 2012, and the rest is history.
This place is always hopping! People drive from all over just to get some Zipp's pizza.
Zipp's offers over 20 specialty pizzas. This is the 8" Italian Stallion. The pizza here is baked to perfection.
If you're a meat lover, order the Whole Hog!
You've got to try the award-winning Taco Pizza. It comes with seasoned beef, crushed taco chips, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, provolone, cheddar, taco sauce and sour cream. This pizza won Best Pizza Of 2016 from Travel Iowa.
You definitely need an order of bread sticks! They're topped with both parmesan and asiago cheeses, and come with a side of marinara.
Leave a little room for dessert - the homemade ice cream sandwiches are heavenly.
Visit Zipp's Pizzeria Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm; Friday and Saturday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm; Sunday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The pizzeria is closed on Monday.
