Pitch Your Tent In The Lush Grapevines Of This Iowa Winery That’s Also A Campground
Is there a dreamier place than a vineyard at night? If you need to sleep on it, head to the campground at Iowa’s 99 Bottles Winery. Here, you can pitch a tent among the vineyard’s rows of grapevines and fall asleep to the gentle sound of wind in the grape leaves.
It’s an Iowa campground like no other and it’s a magical camping adventure you have to experience.
Here’s why.
The campground and winery are located in Garner, Iowa. It's about 25 miles west of Mason City and 120 miles north of Des Moines.
The campground is out in the country, but there's a lot to experience nearby so it's an ideal base for exploring the region. It's near the Buddy Holly airplane crash site, hiking trails at Eagle Lake and Pilot Knob State Park and Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in Mason City.
There's a good chance you won't want to go anywhere when you see this place, and you really won't have to. If you want to enjoy a perfect glass of wine, you can walk to the 99 bottles tasting room and sample award-winning varieties.
There are restrooms and showers at the campground. Fire pits and firewood are also available. Campers can enjoy a 360-degree view of the vineyard, wine cave and surrounding countryside.
There are seven sites at the campground and eight guests are allowed per site. Pets are allowed in the campground. Looking for some more amazing Iowa campgrounds? Check out these 10 great spots.
