The DNR (Department of Natural Resources) calls Iowa, “a treasure chest of natural resources.” It’s true. No matter where in the state you happen to be, there’s probably a state park close by that represents our state perfectly. This particular Iowa state park covers a huge amount of land, is located just west and north of the state’s center, has a large lake perfect for fishing, over 45 miles of trails, and a lovely sandy beach.
What do you think? Is Bushy Creek State Park a great representation of Iowa? What other parks offer a wonderful Iowa experience?
