A Small Town Soda Fountain In Iowa, Stoner Drug, Serves Up Memories And Milkshakes
Midwestern drug stores have been gathering places and community landmarks for generations. Back when it was harder to travel between towns, each town had their own drug store and soda fountain where kids gathered after school and where families celebrated special occasions. These vintage watering hole still exist, if you know where to find them!
The tiny town of Hamburg, Iowa is home to just over 1,000 people, but hundreds more stop by each year to visit Stoner Drug.
There’s nothing like a meal at an old fashioned Iowa soda fountain! Stoner Drug has been serving up milkshakes and memories for longer than we’ve been alive, and they’re sure to keep serving the community for years to come.
