It’s the most wonderful time of year in Iowa, and snow has already begun to fall throughout the Hawkeye State! If you’re truly in the holiday spirit, plan your trip out to Le Mars, Iowa, to enjoy their annual Pioneer Christmas Village in early December.
Le Mars is known as the ice cream capital of the world, but for two weekends in December, it becomes another kind of frosty wonderland.
Le Mars famous' round barn is the site of a gigantic Christmas fair! During the first two weekends of December, the trees are lit, the cocoa is on, and Santa comes to town.
The Pioneer Christmas Village is located at 500 4th Ave. N.E., Le Mars, IA. This year, the festival is held December 1 & 2, and December 8 & 9, Each day of the Pioneer Christmas Village runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
