There are numerous parks and recreation areas around the state that offer great places for snow tubing. Seven Oaks Recreation Area in Boone not only offers snow tubing but skiing and snowboarding as well. Sleepy Hollow Sports Park in Des Moines has a rather epic snow tubing hill if you’re looking for a thrilling adventure this winter.

What are some of the best things to do in winter in Iowa?

There’s plenty of fun to be had throughout the Hawkeye State in the winter! Aside from winter hiking and snow tubing, you can take a horse-drawn sleigh ride at Jester Park Equestrian Center in Granger which is quite a magical experience.
