Head To This Iowa Retreat For A Relaxing Fall Weekend
If you’d like to do something different for your next weekend away, this place should be on your list.
Perfect for a relaxing vacation away from it all, Trickling Waters Retreat is the result of Randy Patzner's vision. He opened the B&B in 1996.
Originally called Eagles View B&B, this expansive property offers a unique experience in a friendly and warm setting.
This place is a regular destination for many people who return for the first-class accommodations.
Located at 516 Fifth St. in Marquette, this large property includes a koi pond, incredible flower gardens, carefully landscaped grounds, and plenty of places to relax outdoors.
It's a short drive to shopping and sight-seeing in Prairie du Chien, Marquette, and McGregor.
Sight-seeing isn't required, of course. Many visitors choose to just escape everyday life and watch the koi.
If you'd like to stay for the week, there's a special rate.
The Garden Shed is a beautifully furnished 307 square foot room with a queen sized bed.
The Pine Lodge offers 350 square feet of living space.
It has a king sized bed and is decorated with a rustic theme.
The views here are amazing.
The wildlife enjoys this peaceful setting as much as the guests.
Make time for a relaxing soak under the stars.
Don't worry if you can't get away until winter. Trickling Waters Retreat is beautiful in every one of Iowa's seasons.
If you can tear yourself away from the serenity of Trickling Waters Retreat, you won't have to go far to find something fun to see and do.
Effigy Mounds National Monument is just 4 miles from the retreat. It's a Native American Indian mound preservation site that spans over 2,500 acres.
Some of the most impressive and expansive views of the Mississippi River from the Iowa side are just 3.6 miles away, at Pikes Peak State Park.
Bring your hiking shoes, because this park has an amazing waterfall, miles of wide paved trails, and is the perfect place for a picnic.
When you are ready to come back to civilization, be sure to stop by Eagles Landing Winery, just one mile from the retreat.
This is one of Iowa's most-awarded wineries. There's free wine tastings every day and a gorgeous wine garden.
