The Magical River Walk In Iowa That Will Transport You To Another World
One of the perks of living in eastern Iowa is being close to the Mississippi River. This historic body of water is so important to Iowans, and we really don’t take it for granted. While the Dubuque Riverwalk is one of the most famous riverwalks in the country, there’s a small town upstream that has a charming, enchanting riverwalk that’s so worth a visit.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! It’s easy to make a day trip out of both! Hike Pike’s Peak and then head south to Guttenberg for a stroll along the water and dinner at the Dam Riverview Sports Bar, where you’ll find Iowa hospitality and some fine food.
