The tiniest Iowa towns always seem to be hiding the best kept secrets, like great restaurants, charming historic parks, and the creepiest cemeteries in the entire state. If eerie fun is your cup of tea, head over to the small farming community of Mingo and see what spooky spirits are dying to meet you.

Mingo, Iowa is a tiny farm town located north of Bondurant. Only about 300 people live here now, but in the past, this town was home to plenty of colorful characters.

If you're lucky, you'll get to meet a few of them at the Ashton Cemetery.

This haunted chapel graveyard is a rumored to have been built on top of a Native American burial ground, and locals have reported eerie sightings at the cemetery for decades.

Graves here date back to the mid 1800s, and it appears that some who have been laid to rest here are not quite at peace.

To this day, visitors have reported eerie orbs, ghostly figures, and creepy sounds spotted and heard at this historic graveyard. If you're brave enough to visit, just be aware that you may not be coming home alone...
