While it's home to a couple of major attractions, like Adventureland and Prairie Meadows, this little city of 18,000 is largely quiet and peaceful.

While the city has certainly enjoyed some economic growth and sees millions of visitors each year, at the end of the day, it's still a relaxing place to call home.

Many locals set their alarms early to rise with the sun.

Thanks to all the wide-open spaces in this part of the state, the sun is easy to spot.

The sunrise seems to happen pretty quickly. But if you savor it over a hot cup of coffee, it's the perfect slow morning ritual.

Just make sure you check the predicted sunrise time before you set your alarm.

With enough practice, you'll be a morning person in no time, and this can be a regular sight for you.
