Here Are 14 Things People From Iowa Absolutely Love

If you live in Iowa long enough, you’ll start to notice that many of us like the same things – like puppy chow! (If you’re confused about what puppy chow is, you’re probably not from around here…) Aside from our beloved puppy chow, here are 14 things that people from Iowa absolutely love!

1. Our team, whether we win or not.

2. Watching the Iowa vs. Iowa State game, even better if we're tailgating.

3. The chocolatey, crunchy heaven that is puppy chow.

4. The deliciousness of scotcharoos that melt in your mouth.

5. Homegrown Iowa sweet corn. There's nothing in the world like it.

6. Fresh produce from the local farmers market.

7. Cornhole, or other yard games, like horseshoes.

8. Getting to experience all four seasons, and the craziness that comes with them.

9. Knowing that no matter where you go on your Christmas vacation, it's almost surely warmer than back home.

10. Not having to deal with traffic jams. It's just us and the open road.

11. Our amazing state fair.

12. And our equally amazing county fairs and festivals.

13. Our hometowns. They're what makes Iowa so special.

14. And the undeniable beauty of this great state we call home.
