11 Things That Everyone In Iowa Does During The Fall Season

Now that fall is officially upon us, it’s time to start enjoying this most beautiful, and short, season. Whether it’s sticking to the tried and true traditions, or having some new kind of fun, here are 11 things that everyone in Iowa does (or should do) during the fall season.

1. You take the annual trip to the apple orchard.

2. And the pumpkin patch.

3. You start to crave hot apple cider.

4. And everyone fills their homes with the smell of pumpkin spice.

5. You consistently rake huge piles of leaves, like this.

6. And you get the friends together, get some smores supplies, and have yourself a fall bonfire.

7. You get utterly lost in at least one corn maze every year.

8. And relish the fun of a good old hayride.

9. With football season started, you spend your weekends at the game, or watching the game.

10. And tailgating, of course.

11. Through it all, you find time to enjoy the beauty of the state during this most lovely season.
