The healthiest county in the state award goes to Mitchell County! Some of the cities in Mitchell County include Osage, St. Ansgar and Toeterville.
Number two on the list of healthiest counties is Chickasaw County. Some cities in the county are New Hampton, the county seat, as well as Nashua and Alta Vista.

Third on the list is Sioux County, home to Orange City, Sioux Center and Sheldon, to name a few places.

Winneshiek County is the fourth healthiest county in the state, and is home to cities such as Decorah, Calmar and Spillville.
Story County encompasses cities such as Ames, home of Iowa State University, as well as Nevada and Story City.
