Get Lost In These 10 Awesome Corn Mazes In Iowa This Fall
Fall is here, the air is getting crisp, and it’s time for some good old-fashioned fall fun. What better way to celebrate fall in Iowa than to visit a corn maze? Considering the abundance of beautiful cornfields in Iowa, there can be no doubt that we have some pretty epic corn mazes. Here are 10 awesome corn mazes in Iowa where you can get lost this fall.

Pumpkinville has two awesome corn mazes: one big maze and one mini maze. If you’re feeling ambitious, the big maze is a whopping 20 acres and is full of fun challenges. You don’t just walk through this maze, it’s a scavenger hunt. Early in the season when the field is dense, it can take several hours to complete the maze. Later in the season, it takes about an hour. The mini maze is designed for younger children and takes about 15 minutes to complete. The maze is open from August through October, 10am to 8pm. Location: 618 Center Ave South, Mitchellville, IA.

This farm also has two corn mazes. The 10-acre maze features the General Mills 150th Anniversary logo. This maze features an interactive puzzle map that you complete as you make your way through the maze. The 6-acre corn maze celebrates the 50th anniversary of “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” If you’re feeling brave, you can visit on Wednesday nights with a flashlight from 6pm to 9pm in October. The farm is open September 17th through October 31st, Monday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm, and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Location: 3260 69th St., Atkins, IA.

The Center Grove Orchard in Cambridge is of course known for its delicious apples and fun farm activities, and their 8-acre corn maze is a must visit. It’s themed after “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” and they will also feature other artwork from the movie throughout the farm. They’re open Monday through Sunday from 9am to 7pm. Harvestville Farm features a 10-acre corn maze with a mini maze contained within the larger maze for younger visitors. Flashlight mazes are also held after dark on the first four Saturdays of October, from 7pm to 10pm. Fall hours are September 3rd through October 30th, Monday through Saturday, from 9am to 7pm, and Sundays from 11am to 7pm. Location: 1977 IA-2, Donnellson, IA.

Geisler Farms is home to a 1-acre corn maze with a maze map activity that you complete as you walk through the maze. The maze takes between 20 minutes to an hour to complete. The season runs from September 17th through October 30th and is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 8pm. In October, the maze will also be open on Fridays from 5pm to 8pm. North River has miles of corn mazes for all ages, and you can even play Farm Scene Investigation as you go through the maze. The season runs from September 17th through October 29th. They’re open Fridays from 5:30pm to 10pm, Saturdays from 10am to 10pm, and Sundays from 12pm to 6pm. Location: 2768 US-65, Carlisle, IA.

Schuster's Pumpkin Patch is great family fun, with wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, and, of course, a corn maze. The season runs late September through October and the hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm. Location: 7541 Schueller Heights Rd., Dubuque, IA.

Ditmars Orchard is a beautiful orchard with plenty of apples, pumpkins and activities. The farm features a bale maze and a 5-acre corn maze, as well as tractor rides and much more. They’re open Tuesday - Saturday, 11am to 6pm, and Sunday 12pm to 5pm. Location: 19475 225th St., Council Bluffs, IA.

Pumpkinland is home to a 7-acre corn maze and a smaller maze for children. They also have plenty of other fun fall activities. They’re open Monday through Saturday from 10am until dark, starting the 1st weekend in September through October 31. Location: 4123 Jackson Ave., Orange City, IA.

Pinter’s Gardens and Pumpkins is a great place for fall activities, including a corn maze. You can visit the maze between September 17th and October 31st, Saturdays, 9am to 5:30pm, and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Location: 2475 IA-9, Decorah, IA.
