Indiana Beach is easily one of our favorite vacation destinations in Indiana of all time.
Every year, it's a beacon of summertime fun, beckoning visitors with the promise of fun in the sun, roller coaster, festival food, and, of course, lots of water to cool off in.
It's positioned perfectly right on beautiful, blue Lake Shafer, which is a comfortable level of "chilly" all summer long.
We're pretty sure they couldn't have chosen a better lake for this park; really, everything about Indiana Beach is exceptional, from the friendly faces to the deliciously-bad-for-you food to the rides and games and everything in between.
There's so much to do crammed into this little space that you'll probably need to take more than one day to do it all, making Indiana Beach the perfect weekend and/or vacation spot for you and yours.
On the water park side of things, there are boat rides, a lazy river, waterslides, a kid-friendly splash pad, a beach pier pool, and lots more. Bring towels and lots of sunscreen; nothing ruins a day on the lake more than a gnarly sunburn.
On the rides side of things, enjoy six (soon to be seven) roller coasters, more than a dozen thrill rides, unique family-friendly rides, great attractions for the smallest of kids, and so much more.
We're pretty sure that it's physically impossible to be bored at this amusement and waterpark in Indiana; well, of course, unless you just plain hate amusement parks (in which case, there are lots of other things to do in Indiana you'll love instead).
Ticket costs for multiple days of fun can add up quickly, which is why we're personally quite fond of the season passes.
It's easily one of the best vacation destinations in the Midwest, and it just so happens to be here - right in our own backyards.
For the most up-to-date hours, season info, ticket and passes pricing, and a full list of all the fun stuff you can expect to find here, be sure to visit the official Indiana Beach website.
Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
