Every so often, it hits you: the sudden urge to get away from it all in a place where everything is quiet, slow, and peaceful. Well, we went ahead and found the perfect tiny town in Indiana for just such an occasion. Seriously, there isn’t a lot going on here – it’s got a population of a whopping three(ish) people, a dog, and a cute miniature Main Street where you’ll find every attraction in town (all two of them). Story, Indiana is a cute little place that’s quite literally one of the quietest places you’ll ever go. Check it out:

It consists of The Story Inn, a couple of old buildings like a mill, and all the stunning forest surrounding it all you could ever hope for.
The Story Inn is where you'll stay; it is, after all, the only Inn in town.

Some day it's haunted... but we'll see about that. It originally opened in 1851, making it well past a century old now. It's rustic and elegant at the same time, somehow, and it makes for the perfect place to unplug.
