From the outside, the Northside Diner in Chesterton doesn't look like much. Even with the brightly painted celebrity mural, this diner might not catch your eye from the road. But locals know that this is a hot spot for some of the best breakfast and lunch comfort food in the state.

The retro interior is a nostalgic nod to diners of the past, as well as a time when homestyle cooking wasn't just the norm, it was the expectation. Be warned though, you'll almost never see the diner this empty, particularly around peak breakfast times.
