Indiana is an interesting state with plenty of wonderful places to learn about and explore. There are the more popular places that everyone loves to go, like any of our enchanting state parks, campgrounds, or lakes, but did you know there are plenty of odd, funny, or otherwise hyper-unique attractions you should definitely make time for, too? In fact, there are really too many of these weird little spots to mention, but we’ve done a little footwork for you. Here, you’ll find a list of eight of our favorite odd, quirky, or otherwise offbeat attractions in Indiana:
Tucked away in Avon, Indiana, is a gorgeous-but-creepy old concrete bridge that's said to be very, very haunted. It leers over County Road 625, daring curious explorers to come closer. It's more than a century old, now, and for decades, there have been whispers about wayward spirits roaming the area, especially at night. Seek this bridge out if you dare.
On the corner of 23rd Avenue and Jackson Street in Gary is a little house where a huge legend was born. You'll know you're at the right place when you spot the memorial in the front yard. This is still private property, so please admire from across the street.
Bloomington's a town with a big brain. No, seriously - there's a six-ton human brain carved out of limestone. It's a token of love from Indiana University, and it's even got some really cool LED lighting going on at night. It comes to life in the most vibrant of ways after dark!

In Goshen, there's a truck stop. This truck stop - Gallops - is a fake-front gas station with a McDonald's and a Subway. Come for the silly selfies outside; stay for the fries.
This intriguing and highly-rated restaurant is located in Valparaiso, a city which is historically significant and well worth a visit on its own. You'll know you're in the right place when you see the awe-invoking statue of blue-collar workers atop the restaurant's roof in the style of iconic old photographs.
If you're ever nearby Versailles, you'll want to check out Paulhenge, which is kinda like Stonehenge... but... like... Paul's. An artist by the name of Paul Morris created this actually-incredible series of concrete scultpures in the forms of upright slabs of cement. Each has a hole in it where the sun shines through on solstices and equinoxes. This is one of the more unique art installations you'll find in the entire Midwest.
Whovians: you might want to sit down for this. Indiana is home to THE largest Dr. Who museum/shop in the entire country. How'd Hoosiers get so lucky? We don't know, but we love it. Read more about this awesome little spot here.
