1. Indiana Dunes National Park
With its new designation as of February, the Dunes are likely to see a resurgence in visitors this summer. This 15,000 acre area is the most diverse in Indiana as it contains woodlands, prairies, savannas, bogs, and wetlands. 2. Edge Adventures
With three locations in the state, this unique adventure lets you roam the treetops like never before. Canopy walks and zip lines get your heart racing, and there are tracks for different skill levels.

3. River St. Joseph of the Miamis Trail
Also known as the Mishawaka River Walk, this incredible urban path offers lovely views. Open all year, it is most lovely in spring and features bridges, sculptures, plaques, landscaping, and lighting for night walks. 4. Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets
This charming outdoor shopping mall has been in operation since 1987 and features more than 100 stores. Both national chains and local Indiana businesses take up shop here, and you'll find everything from food to clothes to bath supplies and so much more.

5. Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park
Featuring artwork that is functional to wildlife, this 100-acre outdoor art gallery is part of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. In addition to unique and interactive pieces of art, there are also woodlands, wetlands, meadows, and a 35-acre lake that offers immaculate views. Learn more about it all
6. Wellfield Botanic Gardens

7. DeFries Gardens
This seasonal garden is worth a visit anytime of year. It is a calendar garden, which means different parts are in bloom at different times of year. The spring portion just might be the best, and you can learn more about it
8. Gasthof Amish Village
This little-known Amish village is a great place to visit anytime of year, but spring is best as the flea markets are running. Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, you can shop seasonal goods as well as a wealth of other country favorites. A restaurant, inn, antique store, and bake shop are also available, and guests can also take tours of the grounds and learn all about the Amish way of life.
