Beware: These 10 Counties In Indiana Have The Most Sex Offenders
If you have a child you care about, you’ve probably wondered where the highest concentration of sex offenders in your state are. Well, I’ve done a little digging with the public data collected on HomeFacts.com and found them for you. I’m a little sad to report that almost the entire state (meaning EVERY county) has a higher sex offender population than the national average which is 14.64 per 10,000 people.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
It’s important to keep in mind these statistics are public record. This list is based on the ratio of sex offenders per residents. Basically, I’m giving you a list of where you are more likely to run into a sex offender based on how many there are compared to total residents in the county. Were you surprised to see any of these counties on this list? Maybe you were surprised that a county didn’t make the list when you thought it would have? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
