In 2021, Take These 12 Incredible Indiana Hikes, One For Each Month Of The Year
Happy new year, everyone! 2021 is upon us, and chances are you’ve got some goals to reach this year. If any of those goals involve hiking (or fitness!), you might want to pencil these into your busy schedule. We’ve put together a handy list of twelve hikes to conquer in 2021 – one for each month of the year.

This is the perfect Indiana winter hike. January is the coldest month of the year for the Hoosier state, and this particular trail will treat you to a plethora of frozen waterfalls.
Find it at Turkey Run State Park, 8121 E. Park Road, Marshall, IN.

This particular trail offers incredible views of the Red Fox Ravine, frozen over in all its beautiful icy glory. The sandstone cliffs dusted with snow are the icing on the cake!

This trail is beautiful in early spring; wildflowers and bright-green sprouting grass are common toward the end of the month. Perfect for spring revelers.

This short and sweet trail is just one mile long and quite popular. It highlights the four phases of sand dunes' formations in a short little hike.

This hike is a good workout, but no worries! You've been working your way up to this. This trail will bring you to incredible views of the largest waterfall in the park.

This is a beautiful, seven-mile-long trail conveniently located in Indy. It's perfect for a summer day; it's absolutely lush in the summer. This one is geared more toward mountain bikers looking for a bit of a trek.

We visit Shades State Park again on our monthly hiking journey; this time, you'll find yourself on Pearl Ravine Trail, a trail so incredibly green and shady that you'll think you're visiting a rainforest.

Summer usually equals beaches, and a beach is what you'll get on this beautiful trail. It's a bit vigorous, but it's so worth the view.

This trail is perfect for late summer into fall; look at the changing trees in dense woods throughout the trail. Mature trees will begin changing color right around the end of September.

This park is so ridiculously amazing during autumn that it really doesn't matter which trail you choose; you're in for beautiful lake views and crisp autumn color no matter what.

Once again we make the trek to Turkey Run, but for a great reason: Trail 10 is a short 1.4 miles of lovely late fall/early winter views.

This is it! The whole year has built up to this; the seemingly endless stairs wind all the way up. Once you reach the top, though, get ready. The Hills o'Brown are coated in icy amazingness at this time of year.
