There’s going to be a maple syrup festival in Salem, Indiana that is the most delicious event of the year. This annual event is all about history and food. What could be better? Scroll on for more details.
Taking place rain or shine, the Annual Maple Syrup Festival takes place over two weekends. Mark your calendars for February 29, 2020 through March 1, 2020 and March 7-8, 2020.
Taking place in southern Indiana, the event always happens at LM Sugarbush, a 140-acre farm that was established in 1981. Outside of this festival, the farm is typically only open by appointment.
There will be baked goods to buy as well as breakfast and BBQ foods made from maple syrup. Breakfast will be served all-day and BBQ will begin at noon and be available until it runs out.
Other activities include syrup-making demonstrations, self-guided tours of the sugarhouse where the syrup is made, live music, candle-dipping, coloring, a straw maze, and many more.
There is also a store with a plethora of maple syrup goodies to purchase and take home. This is the best opportunity you will have to buy the most delicious maple syrup in the Hoosier State.
It is worth a trip from any corner of the state to enjoy the activities, crafts, food, and more at this festival. Canada and our other northern neighbors aren't the only ones who are skilled at producing this outstanding nectar.
