Callings all nerds! There’s a chain of trendy restaurants in Indiana that are all about books, board games, and craft beer. This library bar is a wonderful place to take your friends for an evening of fun and fabulous food.

Books & Brews is a relatively new chain of trendy bars in central Indiana with its original location in Indianapolis. It got its start in 2014 and has quickly expanded to nine locations in total.
The restaurants aim to be a place to disconnect from technology and reconnect with friends old and new. It's a wonderful place to play a board game or read a book.
Speaking of books, this library bar is all about them. Join the mug club and you can rent any of the books that are on sale for free. Otherwise, prices are fairy low, and 10 percent of the proceeds go toward an adult and youth literacy program called Indy Reads.
One of the biggest draws to this place is the beer. All brews are homemade, and they are named after books. Try favorites like Clifford, Cream & Punishment, and Charlie. Rotating beers are always available as well.
If you really like what you taste, this library bar will sell you its craft beers in a six pack or by the bottle. If you're really into it, join the mug club.
Even menu items are named for books. Enjoy Finnegan's nachos, which is kettle chips smothered in beer cheese, jalapenos, and onions. Other appetizers include hummus, soft pretzels, and meat and cheese plates, all of which are named for literary figures.
The main event at these restaurants are the sandwiches. Fun names like pig in the iron mask, munchies of Venice, tale of two piggies, and Dante's inferno will make it hard to decide what to order.
Books & Brews is open daily, but hours differ by location. In addition to the four Indy locations, you'll also find this library bar in Zionsville, Carmel, Muncie, Brownsburg, and Speedway.
