Now that warm weather is here, festival season is in full swing! While food and music festivals are the most common events you’ll find lining up throughout the Hoosier state, there’s one incredible, magical festival full of lanterns that you should absolutely learn more about.
Every year, a stunning event comes to Indiana, where hopeful individuals gather together to light up the sky with magical looking lanterns.
This event, known as Lantern Fest, takes place all across the country and will be hitting New Castle, Indiana this weekend.

During the day, event-goers will enjoy food, live music and shows, face painting, balloon artists, s'mores, and much more, making it the perfect event for families or groups of friends.
Then, when the sky is just right, the thousands of participants will release their lit lanterns into the sky. When you let go of your lantern, you're supposed to do so with your dreams and highest hopes in mind, creating a magical sky full of positivity.
