The James Allison Mansion is part of Marian University and is listed as a National Historic Landmark. This mansion is rumored to be haunted by a little girl who drowned in a pool located in the building's basement. Sources claim to have seen the ghost of the girl, witnessed items moving on their own, and heard voices coming from the attic. Others argue that James Allison himself also haunts the building.

The Hannah House was built in 1858 by a member of the Underground Railroad, Alexander Hannah. What happened next was tragic. One night, while a group of slaves on the railroad were sleeping, an oil lamp fell, landed on a bale of straw and ignited, killing all of the slaves. Hannah buried the bodies in his basement so his involvement in the railroad wouldn't be exposed. Visitors claim that the ghosts of the slaves haunt the mansion and can be seen and heard in the cellar.

Now the Indiana Medical History Museum, the former Indiana Central State Hospital was once called the Indiana Hospital for the Insane. Treatments for the insane during the early 1900s were cruel and often could be considered abuse. Witnesses claim the former patients haunt these buildings and the grounds. Ghosts can be seen, women's screams are often heard, and electrical devices tend to turn on by themselves.

The legend of this haunting is that a former director who enjoyed jogging would jog inside the theater when the weather was cold or rainy. One sunny day, while jogging outside, the director was hit and killed by his nephew's car. This haunting is more recent than most others. In 1992, a fire erupted in the building, and a fireman who tried to wake up guests died in the building. Witnesses claim the ghost of this fireman still haunts the building.
