You’re Going To Love These Predictions About Indiana’s Mild Upcoming Winter
Winter is coming – at least, for a little while.
Last year, we experienced a pretty mild, short winter (at least compared to average winter temperatures). This year, we can expect a little more of the same, with the possibility of a white Christmas. Read below to learn more about what the Farmers’ Almanac is predicting for Indiana’s 2017-2018 winter.
That's right - this year's winter will be a little more traditional, which means Hoosiers should expect particularly cold temperatures and average snowfall early in the winter.
What that means is that Hoosiers can expect winter to start out strong, perhaps even offering the entire state a White Christmas (though snowfall levels should be relatively light).
Hoosiers should expect typical levels of Indiana ice and snow, as well as cold temperatures from mid-December through January.
The good news is, this should be the worst of the winter weather. October through November is predicted to be warmer than usual, and by early to mid February, temperatures will be rising again.
It's pretty great news if you like winter, especially around Christmastime, but don't love it stretching out too long.
