Indiana is a state that has been blessed with beautiful pieces of nature, intriguing places to eat, culture, history, architecture, and a small, but sandy piece of beach to enjoy the Lake Michigan waterfront. Whether you live in Indiana or you’re just passing through, everyone should know that the Hoosier state is a very relaxing place with everything you need for one of the more romantic dates you’ve ever had. Between hotels, activities, bed and breakfasts, cabins, and cottages – you’re bound to have a great romantic getaway in this state.

Before we get started, I want to let you all know this is intended to be a guide on how you can have/plan a romantic date in the state of Indiana. Whether you’re getting married or just want to make your significant other feel special – this guide is going to help. For starters, late spring and middle autumn are probably the most romantic times to invest in some of the ideas in this guide. After all, Indiana is beautiful from the months of May to October.

You don’t have to be Amish to enjoy Amish County. They have beautiful bed and breakfasts and restaurants in the area. The food always tastes fantastic.

This is one romantic getaway I really – REALLY – want to be able to do before I die. This is a luxury, couples-only hotel that's only located in three states including Indiana. It's a place dedicated to giving you a luxurious and sensual experience. Some of the suite features include having a Jacuzzi tub big enough for two people and an indoor heated pool. You can even get a room with a massage chair and a waterslide that goes from the second floor of your private room to the heated pool! Don’t forget about the sauna.

The only downside to this hotel is they do not have room service or in-house restaurants of any kind. Couples are encouraged to bring their own food or prepare to go out to eat at one of the many nearby places. Presently, there are both two and three night packages available at the hotel. You can also rent the hotel for part of a day (or part of a night). Amenities you get with the room include champagne or sparkling cider, bath robes, candles, and a rose-petal bed turndown.

You can find this hotel at 5466 W. 86th Street in Indianapolis. Obviously, it's an expensive hotel. But, wouldn’t it be worth it just to stay one time?

Take a stroll with your loved one down the Indianapolis Canal from White River State Park to 11 Street. If the water ends up being just too much for you not to want to get in it, there are a few activities you could partake in.
