With Over 20 Flavors Of Gummies, You Won’t Want To Miss This Epic Indiana Sweet Shop
Do you have a sweet tooth? If so, you’re in luck! From
this tiny dime store that sells huge jelly beans, to this massive candy store that will make you feel like a kid again, Hoosiers with a hankering for sugar have plenty of candy shops to choose from. If you love gummi bears in particular, there’s one shop you’ll want to visit asap:
Albanese Confectionery has been making delicious candy for more than 30 years, and if you've never visited this store and candy factory, you're in for a treat.
You'll find Albanese Confectionery at 5441 E. 81st Ave., Merrillville, IN 46410.
This huge candy factory is full of big bins, packed full with colorful candy of all kinds.
The specialty of the house is gummies, and if you're a connoisseur of gummi bears, you've come to the right place. These candy bears are made from the highest-quality ingredients, right here at this candy factory. You won't find any cheap imported gummi bears here.
What you will find is over 20 regular-flavors of gummi bears, plus more flavored gummi rings, gummi worms, and dozens of other specialty gummies. You'll want to return over and over again, just so you can try them all!
Flavors include everything from standard cherry and grape to mango, peach, pink watermelon and orange cream bearsicle.
Not all of these bears are sweet. Check out the mouth-puckering array of sour gummies, too.
This shop is all about variety. It also carries every single flavor of Jelly Belly beans. Choose a mix, or create your own mix with your favorites.
There are bins full of soft, chewy taffy, as well as chocolates, penny candy, nuts, and more.
If you're looking for gifts for friends and family, you'll want to check out all the various gift baskets, and canisters. There's something here for every budget and every taste.
You'll get great deals on the big bags of Gummi Goof Ups. Stock up! These products still have the same great taste - they just came out a little misshapen. Your mouth won't even notice.
Take the self-guided candy factory tour for a sneak peek to see how the candy is made. The tour takes you past eight windows into the factory, and shows you two informative videos. It will take you about 15 minutes to complete your tour, and at the end, you'll get to sample a gummi and a chocolate.
The store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m..
