With three locations in central Indiana, Caplinger's Fresh Catch is the place to be if you love seafood. It has been voted one of the best places to eat and proves you don't have to live near the ocean to enjoy fresh fish.
Locations are in Indianapolis, Zionsville, and Lawrence, and each is equipped everything you need for an amazing fish dinner. Just about any fish you can think of is sold at this fresh seafood market.
The restaurants are small with very limited seating. Delivered to the stores daily, the fresh fish is on display in glass cases.
In addition to fish, the menu consists of alligator, clams, oysters, mussels, colossal king crab, snow crab, soft shell crabs, crab cakes, escargot, frog legs, lobster, octopus, calamari, scallops, crawfish, and shrimp. The best part is you can get each item prepared just about any way you like.
Get any seafood in a sandwich or as a dinner, which includes two sides and hush puppies. Side options are mac and cheese, candied yams, fried okra, fries, corn, collard greens, baked beans, and chiptole slaw.
You'll also find desserts like pineapple bread pudding, cookies, and key lime pie.

Caplinger's Fresh Catch is open five days each week. Stop by one of its locations Tuesday through Thursday between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. as well as Friday and Saturday between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.
