The town of Nashville, Indiana, is a pretty cute little place. There are plenty of delightful things to do, like local shops and eateries, but there are also plenty of options for those who love the great outdoors, too. We found a beautiful hike near town that’s perfect for the family (especially families with older kids – younger kids may want to skip this one); it’s nice and challenging and exists as a loop trail, which means you’ll end up where you started out. It’s called the Crooked Creek Trail Loop, and it’s a family-friendly trail in Indiana that none of you will soon forget. Check it out and fall in love with it as hard as we did:

Crooked Creek Trail Loop is optimized for mountain bikers, but hikers are welcome to adventure upon it as well.

Just be sure to keep an eye out for bikes - nobody wants to get run over, especially not on such an amazing trail, arewerite?
Though the loop extends for six miles, you can opt to go as far (or near) from the trailhead as you'd like; just keep a careful eye on the trail, as the markings can be a little vague at some points.

Nevertheless, Crooked Creek Trail is ideal for adventure; it's the perfect combination of beautiful, shady woods, natural splendor, and pristinely clear water in the form of a magical lake. Every step of the way is perfectly photogenic, and we're fairly certain boredom stays far, far away from this amazing little slice of paradise.
The trail's open all year 'round, too, and every season brings with it reasons to come visit again.

In the spring and summer, vibrant greens and wildflowers are the name of the game. In the fall, the entire pathway is ablaze with crimsons and golds, beckoning visitors to continue on through the whole thing.

Should you do the entire trail, it should take about three hours to complete - unless, of course, you make plenty of stops along the way (which we totally did).
It's more suitable for older kids, though younger ones who love the outdoors are sure to fall in love with Crooked Creek.
