Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Let’s be honest for a sec: there are a LOT of ridiculously scenic places in Indiana. Indiana is one of those places that fly under the radar; for as beautiful as it is, it really just doesn’t tend to get the love it deserves (as with most of the Midwest), and that’s a hill we will totally die on. There are lots of little-known hidden gems in Indiana that serve as something of a slice of paradise, and so many of these parks and recreation areas in the state go unnoticed by anyone but the locals. One such beautiful park in Indiana is easily one of the most stunning spots in the Midwest, and even some locals forget it’s there. Time for a visit? We think yes.
Coxhall Gardens is nestled within Carmel, Indiana, and we promise the park is just as pretty as the town!
Carmel is a unique place; while it is not situated near the shores of Lake Michigan it still looks and feels much more like a coastal town than one in a land-locked Midwestern state.
So it comes as no surprise, then, that this particularly beautiful park in Indiana just so happens to be in Carmel.
Coxhall Gardens is 125 perfectly curated acres of flowers, greenery, a sparkling lake, and so much more. It's so ridiculously scenic that it's a popular destination for weddings and photography - and you'll totally see why right away.

It's difficult to find a corner of Coxhall Gardens that isn't sheer perfection.
The facilities are very inclusive, featuring a bike trail, fishing opportunities, a music pavilion, paved walking trails suitable for all ages and skill levels, and more.
Coxhall Gardens is also the site of lots of community events, like the Coxhall Mansion Tours and concerts in the pavilion.
It's a fun place to be year-round, but it's especially perfect during the warmer months, when everything is vibrant and alive. You'll have never seen so much brilliant color in one little place.
The park is a gem in and of itself, but we really do recommend exploring Carmel when you're finished.
It's one of our favorite small towns in Indiana, and we think you might just want to move here (we totally do).
So, seriously, make a whole day trip (or longer) out of it: visit Coxhall Gardens in beautiful Carmel, and experience this beautiful park in Indiana at its best.
