In 1969, the restaurant expanded to add more dining space. At this time, the menu was also extended to include additional Italian specialties as well as some American dishes.
In 1978, a carryout business called Verucchi's Italian Fried Chicken was added. Their incredible fried chicken is still on the menu today and is well-worth ordering!
