Pig Minds Brewing opened in northern Illinois in 2012 and is the first and only vegan brewery in the state. It is known for its seasonal beer, plant-based menu, and weekly events.
Live music, trivia nights, comedy acts, and holiday celebrations take place throughout the year here. There's always a sense of community in the atmosphere at this friendly place.
Of course, many people come in for the house brews. Popular pours include Southy Bitch Slap, Sweep the Leg, and Happidaze. Order a flight of all ten selections to try them all.
Happy Hour is Monday through Friday between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Pair your beer with something tasty like burgers, flatbreads, tacos, wraps, and sandwiches. Appetizers (the best bar food), include wings, garlic fries, nachos, onion rings, pretzels, chili, and more.
Absolutely everything at this restaurant is 100 percent vegan. From the chicken to the pork to the oysters, it is all replicated at this eatery, and you've got to try it.
Pig Minds Brewing is open Monday through Thursday between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday between noon and 11 p.m., and Sunday between noon and 8 p.m. The kitchen typically closes an hour before last call.
